I look forward to seeing you in Afton tomorrow for Hill Climbing Thursday!
(And as a reminder, please bring your old gear and donate to Steve Scholl after the ride).
Tomorrow is our 5th week of hill Afton repeats. Many of you have been there since week 1, and many more of you have jumped on board in the last few weeks. And that’s great. As you’ve all experienced, the more the better, so I hope you invite your friends tomorrow and our numbers continue to grow over last weeks 40+ riders.
Same details as in previous weeks:
- Be on your bike and ready to go in front of Selma’s Ice Cream at 5:20. I’ll do a quick pre-ride update at that time. We’ll then head out for a short warmup at 5:30 sharp then on to the hill!
- If you can’t be there for the start at 5:30, no worries. Get there when you can and join us on the hill as we’ll be there until around 7:15.
- Leave the parking area in front of Selma’s open and available for their patrons to use.
The one additional point I’d like to make this week is with regard to weather. We’ve been lucky so far and have not had any rainouts. Let’s hope our good luck continues. But just in case of inclememt weather, here’s the plan:
I’ll make any “final” call by 3:30 pm and I’ll post it on my Total Cycle Performance facebook page. If you haven’t “liked” that page you might want to do so, then check for any announcements if it looks iffy. /
I won’t ride if it is raining and/or supposed to be raining during ride time. I won’t ride hills on wet roads, so that will really be the determining factor. If the road is dry, we ride. If the road is wet, no ride.
Please let me know if you have any questions. If not, invite your friends and I’ll look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
